Principal Investigators are responsible for the oversight of the research and serve as a mentor to the Postdoctoral Fellow. The Principal Investigator may be an employee of a university, college, or selected U.S. Government Laboratory and usually develops the project proposal and the selection of the Postdoctoral Fellow.
